NES Employee hosts 3rd Annual Fitness Crawl to help fight Breast Cancer

NES continues the fight against breast cancer alongside Rashed Fakhruddin, Engineering Supervisor at NES, who has been selected as an ambassador for Nashville’s Real Men Wear Pink Development Campaign. Fakhruddin, along with 62 other male community leaders, are aiming to raise funds to support the American Cancer Society.

Fakhruddin lost his brother-in-law to lung cancer and his older cousin and mentor are both currently battling breast cancer. He believes that organizations like the American Cancer Society need fundraisers like this to further the work they are doing to help people like his cousin and mentor.

“Every day, the American Cancer Society is saving more lives from breast cancer than ever before. They’re helping people take steps to reduce their risk of breast cancer or find it early, when it’s easier to treat,” says Fakhruddin. “They provide free information and services when and where people need it. They fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and they’re working to ensure access to mammograms for women who need them.”

To help raise money this year, Fakhruddin is hosting his 3rd annual Fitness Crawl with tons of events across Nashville throughout the month of October. Listed below are the participating studios which will host a Real Men Wear Pink benefit class along with the dates:

Fakhruddin’s goal is to raise $5,000, which will contribute to the overall fundraising goal of $175,000. To help Fakhruddin reach his goal, click here.
