NES Celebrates National Engineers Week

NES is proud to celebrate National Engineers Week from February 18 to February 24, 2024. The National Society of Professional Engineers first initiated Engineers Week in 1951 to honor and highlight the outstanding contributions engineers make towards infrastructure, electricity and much more. Engineers Week coincides with President George Washington’s birthday, as he is widely hailed as America’s first engineer.

NES would be incomplete without the significant contributions of our engineers. From finding optimal ways to restore power to customers during severe weather and natural disasters, to enhancing our current practices and infrastructure systems, our engineers set Music City up for success!

To help those interested in a career in engineering, NES offers a variety of ways to connect with our engineers through school career fairs and internships. We’re proud to help Middle Tennessee’s youth develop the skills, connections and knowledge they need to excel in the engineering field.

We are so grateful for all of the engineers who choose to serve Music City at NES!

Currently, NES is accepting applications for the role of an engineer. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2024.  More information can be found here. Applications must be submitted online at NESpower.com.
