Help Hurricane Victims in Middle Tennessee

Help Hurricane Victims in Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, TN – Thousands of evacuees have made their way to Middle Tennessee with little more than the clothes on their backs. Nashville Electric Service (NES) understands the need for basic necessities – including power.

Project Help now provides emergency energy assistance to victims of Hurricane Katrina who have relocated to Nashville and the surrounding area. You can help by simply adding one dollar or more to your monthly NES bill, or by giving a one-time donation.

Project Help is administered by Big Brothers of Nashville, Inc and its primary mission is to provide assistance to the elderly and disabled with their energy costs, especially during the winter. Last year, our customers generously donated close to $140,000 to this cause.

In light of recent events, NES is pledging its support to victims of Hurricane Katrina who are starting over in Middle Tennessee. The need is great. If you are ready to help, visit nespower.com and click on the Project Help icon on the home page. Or, look for information in the October issue of Power Notes included in your monthly bill.
