EMMA HECK AWARDED TVA POWER DISTRIBUTORS SCHOLARSHIP

Graduation Day is right around the corner for thousands of high school seniors.

This major milestone is even more memorable for Emma Heck, daughter of NES Operations Manager Brad Heck. She is one of 31 graduating seniors in the Tennessee Valley to receive the prestigious TVA Power Play Scholarship.

The scholarships are awarded to high school seniors in the TVA region who excel academically and demonstrate a commitment to community service and whose parent/guardian is employed by a local power distributor.

Since the program was established in 1995, over 500 scholarships valued at more than $2 million have been awarded.

Emma will graduate from Central Magnet School in Murfreesboro, TN where she is class valedictorian and president of HOSA, an international student organization for future health professionals. She will attend Emory University and plans to study genetics to research diseases as well as treatment options.
