You typically only hear about or see linemen when NES works hard to restore power after a storm or accident. But did you know that linemen have one of the most dangerous jobs in America? Tasked with being a Jack of All Trades, a lineman must have working knowledge of a variety of jobs. They are the heroes of NES who help us provide safe and reliable power to Middle Tennessee.
John Thomas, a field superintendent at NES, speaks directly to the spirit of NES: “Linemen have a keen sense of help. They’re not in it for the reward or recognition. All they want to do is help. It doesn’t matter if it’s Christmas Day or ten degrees below zero, they’re always willing and ready to work.”
