NES partnered with GOODworks and Academies of Nashville earlier this month to visit Maplewood High School freshman students to teach them why soft and professional skills are critical in preparing for success. Students gained hands on experience of educational material that they are learning in the classroom as it relates to the academy of energy and power. This was an amazing opportunity for students to learn about electrical science and a day in the life of a lineman.
NES wants students to see the importance of why they are learning certain topics and how it is relevant to their future endeavors. Partnering with programs such as GOODworks is one of the many ways NES engages with the local community and invests in the future of Nashville.
