NES offered its last Energy Savers Workshop of the summer on August 16 at the East Park Community Center. Participants learned easy, DIY home improvements that will make a difference in their bill.
Twenty-eight households attended July’s workshop, and June attendance was up 70 percent from 2013 with NES’ successful summer “Be Cool” campaign, urging customers to attend a workshop because “high energy bills are lame, but you can be cool.” Workshop attendees received a free energy-saving tool kit and an action plan in order to implement changes at home right away. In 2014, more than 180 households participated in the 2014 Energy Savers Workshops.
