NES Remembers 9/11 on National Day of Service

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, NES employees will volunteer at Nissan Stadium to participate in the Nashville Meal Pack for 9/11 Day. This event, held in observance of the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, brings together more than 800 volunteers in Nashville to pack 300,000 meals. These meals will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, directly supporting our local community.

Nationwide, 9/11 Day is hosting large-scale meal packs in 24 cities, with more than 30,000 volunteers coming together to pack a total of 9 million meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity. The mission of 9/11 Day is to inspire Americans to rekindle the spirit of unity and compassion that emerged after the tragedy, turning a day of remembrance into a day of doing good.

Officially recognized under federal law, 9/11 Day has become the largest day of service in America. More than 30 million people participate annually, dedicating time to helping others and rekindling the spirit of unity that brought Americans together in the days following the 9/11 tragedy. By inspiring millions to volunteer, donate and perform acts of kindness, 9/11 Day has become a positive and meaningful way for us to annually “Never Forget” those killed and injured on 9/11, as well as the many who bravely rose in service in response to the attacks.

NES is proud to be part of this deeply rewarding experience.
