One of the many ways Nashville Electric Service (NES) is dedicated to community is through providing internships for students interested in a career in the utility industry. For years, NES has worked to create opportunities for MNPS students to receive hands-on experience through internships that provide a space for them to learn and grow as young professionals.
NES offers summer and one-year internships across several departments, including Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Legal. Right now, NES has interns represented across the following departments:

NES finds its interns at in-person recruiting events and career fairs and offers peer mentors to all interns enrolled in the program. Our interns are offered virtual and in-person learning opportunities, commuter benefits and volunteering opportunities.
