NES employees recently attended a Cornelia Airpark concert where they educated attendees about safety and resources available through NES and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
NES employees were onsite discussing topics like rebates, at home DIY projects for families, and the Home Uplift Program, a program that provides energy efficient renovations and upgrades at no cost to the homeowner. Approved homeowners who apply may qualify to receive an average of $10,000 in home energy upgrades, free of charge. Attendees also learned about solar offerings through the utility, how solar panels work and how they effectively reduce carbon emissions to promote a cleaner environment for communities.
Cornelia Fort Airpark is one of the city’s most unique landmarks and was a privately owned, public-use airport located five nautical miles northeast of the central business district of Nashville. The Airpark concerts happen once a month in the summertime, and offer live music, craft beer, family activities, food vendors, and so much more for all ages. All proceeds go towards care of Shelby Park & Bottoms including Cornelia Fort Airpark.
NES is proud to partner with Cornelia Fort to help support the community, and looks forward to future concerts at the airpark!
