We’re beyond proud to honor our dedicated linemen who work diligently to keep homes and businesses powered across the NES service area in recognition of National Lineman Appreciation Day.
To observe the day, NES is encouraging the Nashville community to “Thank A Lineman.” Whether it’s a wave, coffee or a shoutout on social media, we should all take the time to recognize the unwavering dedication of linemen who risk their safety to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
NES linemen undergo extensive training, including a four-year apprentice program consisting of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. Linemen work in some of the most physically challenging and dangerous conditions to keep our power on. Whether it’s below freezing temperatures or a rainstorm, our linemen are working 24/7 to keep Music City lit − which is why we are grateful for our amazing team of linemen not just today, but every day.
NES encourages customers to show their support by using #thankalineman on social media. Connect with NES on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
