NES Building Glows Orange in Observance of Hunger Action Month

The Nashville Electric Service’s downtown building will light the nighttime sky orange tonight in observance of Hunger Action month.

Hunger Action Month aims to inspire communities nationwide to act against and raise awareness for America’s 50 million food insecure individuals. In Middle Tennessee over 490,000 people are estimated to be food insecure, meaning they do not know where they will get their next meal.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is also working with other businesses, like NES, to “Go Orange” on Hunger Action Day, Sept. 10. Other participating businesses include Bridgestone Americas, AT&T Building, Gaylord Opryland Resort and Nashville Metropolitan Courthouse.

The NES building will shine orange through September 17^th.
