Nashville Electric Service (NES) employees have supported United Way of Metropolitan Nashville for 15 years through both monetary donations and volunteer efforts. NES and United Way officials gathered for a check presentation on February 19, 2016 to celebrate this year’s donation.
Since 2001, NES has raised over $1,068,500 for United Way of Nashville.
“NES is proud to support such an impactful organization as United Way,” said Decosta Jenkins, NES President and CEO. “This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and support our customers.”
This investment will contribute to United Way of Metropolitan Nashville’s various programs in the areas of Education, Financial Stability and Health. These three major areas are proven to have the biggest impact on at-risk members of our community, moving them from dependence to independence through strategic, scalable solutions.
