NES Celebrates Safety Excellence

For the first time since 2012, Nashville Electric Service (NES) achieved both safety goals set for the 2018 fiscal year.

Recordable injuries were at 3.4 percent, below the goal of 3.8 percent. At-fault vehicle accidents were 2.7 percent for every 1,000,000 miles driven, well below the 4.5 percent goal.

Each year NES sets crucial safety goals to support and achieve the mission of providing safe and reliable power.

The 2019 safety goals will be presented to the Public Power Board for approval later this month.
