NES Warns Customers About Telephone Scam

Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville Electric Service is warning customers to be aware if they receive an automated call stating that NES has not received their electric payment. “Some customers have gotten an automated call claiming to be from NES telling them that we have not received their payment,” said Tim Hill, NES Corporate Communications Supervisor. “NES does not make any type of outgoing collection calls. We believe that it is a ploy to get personal or banking information from unsuspecting customers.” NES employees in the field do not collect or solicit cash from customers for electric bill payments or for any type of work they perform.
