NES Goes Orange for Hunger Action Day

Dozens of Nashville buildings lit the sky orange on Sept. 13 to raise awareness for Hunger Action Day.

One in eight Middle Tennesseans are food insecure, meaning they don’t know where they’ll get their next meal. But most people don’t realize there’s this much need in our own community.

Orange is the symbolic color of hunger relief. September is Hunger Action Month, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is hosting several initiatives to raise awareness about hunger in the community.
