Allen Bradley Appointed Chief Operating Officer

NASHVILLE, TN — Allen Bradley, P.E. has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Nashville Electric Service (NES) effective April 1, 2003. Mr. Bradley will oversee Engineering, Transmission & Distribution Operations, Construction & Maintenance, and Procurement & Administrative Services.

An employee of NES for 29 years, Mr. Bradley most recently served as Vice President of Engineering and was responsible for all engineering studies and design activities. He worked at NES as a cooperative education student and as an engineering aide before coming to work for the utility full-time in 1974. He worked in Control Design, Research & Computer Applications, and System Planning prior to being promoted to Power Use Engineering Manager in 1994. In this position he was responsible for electric power supply arrangements for NES’ large commercial and industrial customers. He became Operations Manager in 2001 and was responsible for the operation of the Donelson Service Center.

Mr. Bradley earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and a M.S. in Engineering Administration from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the Engineers’ Association of Nashville.

He and his wife, Mary, have three children.
