As an outgrowth of NES’ participation in a corporate social responsibility group, NES and other program volunteers partnered with KaBoom! to build a new playground for the Grace M. Eaton Early Learning Center on June 20. KaBoom! is a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids living in poverty by building safe areas for children to play.
NES volunteers helped assemble equipment, paint, build benches, move mulch, and mix and set concrete. The NES team included Tim Kinkead, Herb DeBerry, Lisa Reasonover, Bryan Lillard, Tony Viglietti, Stephanie Walton, Rashed Fakhruddin and Laura Tidwell. Visit the NES Facebook album for additional photos and our YouTube channel for a video of the KaBoom! build.
