Teresa Broyles-Aplin, NES President and CEO, recently accompanied other large public power executives in Washington, D.C. to meet with lawmakers, regulators and agency officials. Executives discussed the importance of keeping electricity affordable and reliable.
The visit was part of a legislative initiative driven by the Large Public Power Council (LPPC), an organization made up of members from 29 of the largest public power systems in the nation. Together, the LPPC serves 30.5 million American consumers across 22 states and Puerto Rico.

Special thanks to the LLPC for spearheading this legislative effort. These discussions are critical to ensure NES can continue providing our customers with safe, reliable and affordable power.
Hats off to Teresa for representing NES on Capitol Hill!
