Nashville’s official Christmas tree has made its way to Public Square Park.
The 30-foot Norway Spruce, donated by Donna Jenkins, was transported from Inglewood to downtown Nashville by NES and Metro Parks crews. Having outgrown its original location, this year’s tree was chosen for the honor of bringing Christmas to Music City.
After a slow, 30-minute drive down Gallatin Road and Main Street, the tree was carefully lifted into place at Public Square.
It will be decorated with more than 5,000 twinkling LED lights in time for the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony scheduled for Friday, December 1, at 6 p.m.
