NES shoots hoops with the Nashville Fire Department for a good cause

NES employees recently hit the hardwood with the Nashville Fire Department at McGavock High School. The “NES Thunder” team included employees across several departments at the utility. Both teams played in a benefit match to support the Pearl-Cohn girls basketball team.

NES almost secured a victory, but the Nashville Fire Department took home the win with a final score of 57-48. The game raised a total of $150 for Pearl-Cohn’s girls basketball team! Huge shoutout to NES Engineer Sheryl Haley for coaching the NES team, Senior Human Resources Assistant Artetta West for designing and producing the team’s jerseys and Chief People Officer Trish Holliday for providing management support. NES also had a cheerleading squad and Ashlee Gray and Liam Hanks, son of Daniel Hanks, managed the scoreboard/ scores.

Additionally, we would like to give a special thanks to the rest of team NES Thunder:

  • Brent Baker
  • Emily Dunnagan
  • Rashed Fakhruddin
