Dr. Trish Holliday, Chief People Officer and Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Services at NES, was recently named one of Ragan’s 2025 Top Women in Human Resources (HR). The award recognizes exceptional professionals who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to elevating workplace culture, fostering employee wellbeing and shaping the future of HR.
Dr. Holliday joins a list of women who are represented across a range of industries and companies, like Best Buy, Coca Cola, Nissan Motors, Delta Dental, AMC Networks and several others. At NES, Dr. Holliday is responsible for staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, safety and more. She believes in a culture that promotes engagement, encourages retention and supports employee development.
Dr. Holliday played a key role in introducing the NES Performance Plus initiative, which aims to shift the utility towards a performance-based workplace. She also helped NES establish a “Culture of Civility and Belonging,” focusing on employee appreciation and a positive workplace culture. Additionally, she oversees the company’s operations internship program, which has been instrumental in establishing a career pipeline for Metro Nashville high school students seeking successful pathways into the utility industry. NES recently graduated ten young professionals from the program, which offers a 100% job placement guarantee.
