Senior Engineer Rashed Fakhruddin was awarded the Gail Kerr HRCules Award by the Metro Human Relations Commission for his extensive efforts to promote multicultural awareness. This award is given monthly to Middle Tennesseans who are heroes for human relations. Its namesake, Gail Kerr, served as a champion for those voices needing to be heard. In addition to his post on the Leadership Nashville Alumni Board of Directors, Mr. Fakhruddin is also the assistant director of education and outreach at the Islamic Center of Nashville, vice chair of the local chapter of American Muslim Advisory Council and a member of YWCA’s Engaging Men Against Violence initiative. The award ceremony is Monday, July 21.
