Homeowners looking to get the most out of their energy dollars have a powerful, new tool at their disposal. eScore is a home energy efficiency program offered by Nashville Electric Service (NES) and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
Customers can work toward a score of 10 for their home, while earning rebates on qualified, energy-efficiency upgrades – from attic insulation to heat pump water heaters. With eScore, you’ll be ready for whatever the weather brings. Watch the short video below to learn more.
Here’s How It Works
STEP 1 – Register online or over the phone.
Visit www.2escore.com or call 1-855-237-2673 to get started.
STEP 2 – Choose a quality contractor to make energy-efficiency improvements.
TVA maintains a list of Quality Contractor Network (QCN) members that are available in your area to perform the necessary upgrades. You can search for members online at www.2escore.com or by calling 1-855-237-2673.
STEP 3 – Get a FREE eScore evaluation of your home and a quality assurance inspection.
A certified energy advisor will visit and evaluate your home to provide an eScore and a customized list of the upgrades and rebates available. Work performed by the QCN member will be inspected for quality assurance.
Your eScore evaluation will include a detailed report including:
- An eScore card, which ranks your home on a scale from 1 to 10.
- A customized list of recommended energy-efficient upgrades that can be made over time.
- A list of available rebates for qualified upgrades.
- Photos of the areas evaluated.
“eScore is beneficial to anyone who owns a home because it lets you know exactly what needs to be done to make your house more energy efficient,” said Sara Elliott, NES energy services engineering manager. “eScore builds on the success of the In-Home Energy Evaluation program, which was retired in October.”
eScore is one of several program NES offers to help customers save energy and better manage their bills. To learn more, visit nespower.com/WaysToSave.html.
