NES Delivers Metro Christmas Tree to Downtown Nashville’s Public Square

Nashville Electric Service (NES) continued the tradition of helping cut down and deliver Nashville’s Christmas tree again this year.

Jedidiah Freiheit from Donelson donated the 1,100-pound tree to Metro Parks. Prior to the delivery, NES harvested the tree on a residential property for 21 years for use as the state tree.  The tree will be lit on Friday, December 2nd.

The tree will remain on the plaza through Christmas before being taken down on Dec. 27. After that, the tree will be chipped into mulch and donated to the Metro Parks Department for use around the city.
